the bowl and stopper are made from bodark (osage orange) and the box is made from mesquite

Very nice.

Can you comment on how you finished it. I have never seen Osage Orange that is this dark before.

I love how the grain stands out.

Rich, I would bet it is the camera angle that made the picture so dark. I too was surprised to see Osage wood looking so darkly grained….

Thatosage orange wood is fantastic and your turning really makes it pop.

Richgreer, I buffed it on a 10” jet buffer, polished like glass. This osage orange I got locally and is a lot darker than osage I have purchased from Woodcraft. The bottle stopper is sitting on a piece of this osage orange.
