This took me about 12 man hours to make,in school for some 3 weeks, but I was making 2,but the other one,I didn’t finish in time before break,so I have to do the rest when I get back. This one was finished with mineral oil in a hurry, and has a bit of pencil lines and sanding marks still one it,but it was for a b-day gift for a friend,so she can all ways think of Mexico, like I do.It’s 3 1/2’ x 3 1/2 ’ x 1’ ,the squares, and the whole thing is pretty small, but then again, it’s a toy Tortilla press. My mom was so impressed by it that she asked me to make her one for her own b-cay come June, since she just has the casted Al ones, and she wants one made by her only son.I was at this Mexican imports store and my little sis wanted this similer, simpler tortilla press, but it cost 5 dollars…....and this was free since I used all scrap wood from the burn box in the shop, careful not to waste any’s made of oak,I think some teak, poplar, and a bunch that I have no idea of what it is…

I saw your larger version and really liked it! I have been thinking about making the larger one my wife and I can enjoy “real” tortillas!
