This is a buckboard bench that I made for my wife. It is made with Walnut. The pic is before I put the finish on it. Just used a hand rubbed tung oil finish. It was a fun project to do. And have since done a few more in all types of wood species. Very popular item to sell in rural America. I have seen a few of these on here. But most of the kits were purchased through Rockler. I got my kit from the Patent holder. Here is their site for those that are interested. They also offer a discount for buying 10 or more kits. Thanks for looking.

That is a great idea.
Is it a comfortable seat?

That is a great bench. I made one a while ago for my wife and she loves it. I used Oak for my bench.

Very nice and interesting. Something us city folks don’t see often. Blondie grew up on a Dairy Farm in Up State New York. She would love this. Nice post.
