Good man Houtje.
The birds have trouble when the temperature shifts so quickly.
I have 6 houses around the back of my place and one large “roost with 8 perches inside. It is full of Sparrows right now as our temperature is around -20° C at night.
They will like some bird seeds mixed with animal fat from cooking too.

I joke with people still that when I grow up, I want to be a birdhouse architect/builder. We call vetbal a suet ball I think. I’m sure the birds appreciate it. I sure enjoy watching them feed at my feeders.

Good for you Houtje.
I seem to feed more squirrels than birds :)
I have been told that the birds actually have a hard time in the early spring too. You wouldn’t think that, but all of the easy pickings have been eaten, and the new stuff has not arrived yet.
Nice photos,
Steve

That’s a real nice feeder and there is no doubt that it will help the birds in winter time. It’s a wonderful thing.

You are a man of my heart, I always feed the birds, and it brings me so much joy to look at them as they eat.

Here from my garden.
Nice birdhouse.
