I made this for a friend in Jiu Jitsu. He is going to give it to his GF in Korea. It is made out of alder and finished with General Finishes Enduro. I’m not super good at pyrography, but hey, you can’t be good at anything without doing it. I think it turned out great. There is a slit at the top to insert the picture

yea your right keith , it looks pretty bad…LOL….from what i can tell keith your pretty darn good at anything you try with wood…i love this and might try something like this myself….i love the art work and the writing…your letters look really good to….thanks for sharing this with us…always nice to see your work

Very nice. I was thinking about doing hinges on my photo album but went with canvas instead. They look good though. I may try them on my next one. And good job on the pyrography. I think you’re better than you think.

Nice idea! I have been toying with an similar idea – want to do a wooden guest book for my daughter’s rustic barn themed wedding. I have lots of time… September 2012.
