This is a bookshelf/organizer I made for our daughter. I made it to fit the pink boxes with about an 1/8” gap all around. It’s made of 3/4” maple plywood with tiger maple face frame.

The last picture is a finished picture of the dresser that I built last year and didn’t get around to putting the finish on until just recently.

I finished them both the same way to match, since they’re both in the nursery. I tinted de-waxed shellac with a golden brown tint and did two coats of that and then three coats of a water based polyurethane.
