Great as long as it does the job.
Recycling is the way to go.

That’s so cool !

I agree with Matt: I’m rather limited, in that department. When I see ads for old barn board or fencing, my mind goes blank.

It’s great the people like you have the vision to keep functional materials alive, in beautiful forms :-)

yeah, when i’m hauling boards off the curb, in and out of the car, and pulling nails, and scraping filth, i wonder why i bother. Then, when i plane them, and especially when i need them, i think to myself…”how much would i have to spend if i had to go to the store to buy these 2×6x 10s and 2×4s” -i don’t even remember, actually!
All of the ramps in my backyard were framed with found lumber…that is a lot of wood that was headed to the dump! -and it was FREE

LOVE THIS. I am like you in that I like finding good stuff in the trash heap. :) Problem is I drive a wee (bright YELLOW) Ford focus hatchback- and even with the seats down I can’t stuff much in there. But I always try my best to break the springs. You have been busy Christine. I see you have posted several things here. :)
