My son asked if I could build a stand for his new guitar. I looked at what was available and decided to wing it.
It came out pretty nice, fits the guitar and it was fun to design and build.
The woods used are Alder, Cherry, Maple and a little Claro Walnut. The neck support is adjustable and the stand is modular.
The finish is lacquer.

I’m guessing from your name, this design and your other project (CB Airplane) that
you are or were in the aeronautics industry. Excellent translation of a design there!

Do you have plans or a sketchup drawing that you’d be willing to share?

Hi All,
Thanks for the kind words.
Rikkor … Sorry but I don’t have any plans or sketches. I just mark out what I want on the wood and get started.
Regards,

The guitar stand is awesome! Just gave my wife her first guitar for Christmas and was thinking about building a stand for her. This is beautiful and gives me some ideas. Oh and sorry for all the dust that seems to be migrating to your shop in the dead of night. Hopefully the winds will stop blowing Northwest and start blowing East up the hill to EDH.
