Primitive/rustic peg boards or coat racks. I made several from old fence boards. Paint is mustard over black; and red over black. Layered and distressed with a final coat of dark stain to provide the “grubby” look. Length is approximately 24 inches, width about 6 inches, depth about 1 inch. The tenon/pegs are through tenoned, hand cut and whittled for a tight fit. I made some 36 inches long too. Won’t post those ones, they aren’t quite finished yet. Inside work for winter in Pennyslvania.

Crude- is the word my neighbor uses for my primitive work. LOLOLOLOLOL.. But hey- give the people what they want I guess? Mads, not to worry- lots of time for toolboxes. Winter is long in PA.

That is rude to call it crude. I know a guy who makes rustic or distressed furniture. His daughter does the painting and they beat it up to get it saleable :-))
From the rustic presective: Awesome rivergirl!!

Rivergirl,
I like your coat rack. I guess that cherry it’s on would make a coat rack that was too nice to be rustic…

You know it Hal. Gotta grubby it up for the Primitive crowd. :) If it doesn’t look all dirty and beat up they don’t want it. Go figure? That cherry is a table I made- It’s going out the door for Christmas giving.

That looks like therapy stuff. Make hole, cut stick, pound in hole. You might need help.
Sure hope warm weather gets to you soon…........;}..................
