I wanted to try to make a little deeper, steeper sloped bowl using the technique so I made this prototype using 37 degrees instead of 45. Since I wasn’t sure it would work out I made it of one wood which I had quite a bit of: Mahogany. The steeper angle worked so I may push it a little more.
The bowl is about 4” high and 9.5” in diameter. I finish with Tung Oil.

It came out beautiful. How else could you get that size bowl with such a small amount of wood.

Very nice Bill, your bandsaw bowls look great they are an idea worthy of stealing, err I mean researching.
