Our granddaughter-in-law has a special love for hearts. I took a picture of them holding hands, so I decided to do a carving for them. I wish I could find the image I made this carving from, so you would be able to compare them along side of one another. I may locate it, and add it later. This is another carving made from the White Pine that was struck by lightning. It’s such beautiful wood to carve. This is the first time I have ever carved hands, it was quite a challenge. Notice, she is wearing a Heart shaped ring.
I enhanced this image by framing it with my digital imaging.
The Heart is 5 1/2” wide by 2” thick, with two 1 inch holes for either flowers, or candles

Dick, you are such a romantic! Lovely piece – one that I’m sure they will cherish for the rest of their lives. Thanks.
