I don’t think that Lew posted this as a project but I wanted to give him all of the glory and recognition associated with it.

My son David and I visited his shop a summer ago and Lew visited my shop on one of his mini vacations to Ocean City. Lew also came down and taught a woodworking class on making his rolling pins. at the Mason Dixon Woodworking club.

Lew knew that I was active in making toys, along with the Mason Dixon Woodworking Club, for distribution to needy children at Christmas time. He volunteered to make a couple of toys for us to distribute.

He made 4 of these beautiful cradles. I hope that he kept some pictures and will post it as a project. If not I’ll take a few and send them to him. Because, a record needs to be made of his generosity.

These cradles are so nice that we didn’t want to give them to just one child. We wanted to give them to a group of children.

The first one was delivered today to a State of Delaware office that manages Court Appointed Family Visitation. This is so that one of the parents can see their children under court supervision.

I received a call later today and asked if we could deliver one to a Battered Women’s shelter.

Lew should get all of the credit for this cradle. I’m just the cab driver that is making the deliveries.

If anyone else wants to get involved for next year we are happy to accomidate your desires.

Well done job, and I think you’ve found useful homes for Lew’s projects.

I know that both your efforts might help children in ways that no might

guess except with in the hearts of the children that recieve these gifts.
