Project Information
After I finished the bandsaw box for my wife, she suggested I expand it… add another layer to hold her rings.
After some go's-into's (pondering) i decided that it was possible. So I built another row of drawers across the bottom of the box, which would remain detatchable. The two additional boxes would hold rings (on one side) and miscelaneous jewelry on the other side.
The first photo show the original box. The second photo shows the expanded box. The third and fourth photos show the bottom addition separated from the top.
The bottom row has no lid. It uses the underside of the upper structure for a lid. Two pins locate the top section accurately to the bottom.
I used the same wood, and managed to achieve a very close fit.
All this to say "If Mama is happy, EVERYONE is happy"
