-This is the filebox that i started the week before my daughter’s November 1st birthday…As usual, square and true is just a challenge for me -plus, i have to pay the bills!
It is Walnut, Oak, and something that i did not think to tag with relatively smooth bark and a nice sweetish smell (the spalted pieces on the insides of the legs) that was not really cured yet and will probably warp!
-While i realize there is not any recognizable resemblance, it was inspired by ken’s …http://lumberjocks.com/projects/39290 -which is the work of a true craftsman
I think i should stick with outdoor projects and leave the tedious refined stuff to you other folks with patience!

Great job letting the wood determine the design. That is fantastic.

That looks wonderful. And it looks like the top drops into the back side when you want to keep it open? Very well designed

Hey Christine. Nice work on this filebox. And Better Late Than Never Applies here since it did come out so good. Glad to see you’re still getting some work in. How are the hands holding up?

Wait, taking a month to do this is a long time? Oh dear. I need to get off the Internet and get to work. I love your piece. It has such a natural flow to it with the way you did the legs and top. Wonderful!

From here it looks as tho it turned out just great.
And as for taking so long, some of the projects that I start just sit there lookiing at me until another idea is formed to complete the project to my liking.
keep up the good work
