My sister's cart

My sister lives in rural Tennessee in a home that’s very rustic with lots of exposed red and white oak beams. Her kitchen is limited in space so I made this cart for her that she can store next to her cabinets to stay out of the way on a day-to-day basis yet roll into the middle to work on. It’s both red and white oak to match the interior and the cutting board top is a Spagnuolo design. It just seemed to fit.

The funniest part is she was coming in for a visit and I had to finish the project quickly. I glued it up before I realized I never put the dowels in. I had to bend what I could bend and break and re-glue what I could re-glue. (KD oak doesn’t bend very well, in case you didn’t know). After a little sanding, no one’s the wiser. ‘cept me and her, of course. Shhhh. Y’all can keep a secret, can’t you?

Good looking cart, and it will be used quite a bit, which makes it even better. Good save on the dowels,
nothing like a slight miscalculation to get the gray matter moving quickly.

Looks nice. Might have to make one for out kitchen- not enough counter space.
As to keeping the secret, just send me $50 a week and I’ll keep quiet. ;)
