A friend asked me to make her a stand for some items in her kitchen. She wanted a yellow wood but it was going in with some other darker wood. I decided to mix yellowheart and walnut. It is pretty hefty, a lot stronger than what was needed but the simple joinery and heft of it felt good to me.

You must have spent some time on the dovetails. Looks plenty sturdy.

Great looking stand – the dovetails and thickness of the woods would make it eligible to hold her refrigerator and stove – if they would fit. I don’t think that she can put too much weight on it. Looks great.
