This is my FIRST bandsaw box, inspired by the work of many other woodworkers, whose projects were uploaded to YouTube.
It’s for my granddaughter, for Christmas, so she can keep her important treasures safe and sound.

The face is cherry, and the other woods used are hickory and maple. Clear finish.
10” tall. The outside surface was hand tool-marked.

This project was so much fun to make, as I had a chance to test my bandsaw on the tighter curves, and use almost all the major tools in my shop.

The box itself is a treasure…very beautiful design and very well made. I like colours too.

Very sharp! I made my first couple too, and had a lot of fun. Nice touch with the carving on the outside!

Great job on your first bs box, I’ve seen this design before and am fond of it and hope to try it some day. I REALLY like the way you hand-tooled the exterior, an added personal touch. Love it!

Excellent job. She’s gonna love it.
