I have suspected for a while that there is an easy way to post a slide shows to the web but I didn’t know what it was … I had a pretty mellow day today so I took a couple of hours and figured it out .. It is, actually, a snap, once you spend a little time with the program …. And, if you are a professional woodworker, it could become a very handy tool.

I think to communicate a sense of depth and variety of work there is probably nothing more immediate and grabbing than a parade of projects, both completed and in process flashing by full size on the screen. I’ve got a slide show scrolling across my website homepage that sort of annoys me by now, but it’s there to stay I’m afraid … the images above are all from this slide show link on my blog.

There are a couple other links and instructions on how to get and use the program written out on my dorset custom furntirue blog ... the picasa program that I used is free from google and downloads quickly … there is also an excellent help video on line… after you figure it out, you will be amazed how little time it takes … good luck …

Also, if you go to my blog, there are a bunch of photos of an amazing house we are working on with a builder friend …

What a variety of materials and beautiful designs – absolutely stunning!

On a more mundane note, I particularly liked the idea of storage drawers in stairs. A friend had put slide-out vertical storage sections in the triangle under his house stairs, and I was impressed by the easy access, but your utilising the actual steps as well is brilliant!
