Ron Brown’s Christmas Ornaments

Back in September when Peachtree had Ron Browns ornament kits on sale I grabbed two sets. Very fun project, but challenging. Hardest part is getting a round form without turning off the vignette. The wood inlays are easier to turn than the acrylic ones. Favorite part i found is turning the finials. I really enjoy turning the delicate forms. Think I’ve finally got the hang of using the skew. Most of the globes are cherry but a few are walnut. The finials are mostly katalox which is a dream to turn. Nice tight grain and moderately hard.
