So here’s this week’s update for the woodworking show I am doing THIS WEEK in Virgina:

My crafts will be featured at the 2010 Winter crafts show at Wakefield Park on Saturday, December 4th (9AM-4PM) and Sunday, December 5th (10AM-3:30PM). The address is: Audrey Moore RECenter, Wakefield Park, 8100 Braddock Rd., Annandale, VA 22003, 703-321-7082.

So these are some hand mirrors made of walnut or maple (birdseye). they have been hand finished (hand sanded and wiped with polyurethane). Each have a little rose on them made of either bloodwood, yellowheart or purple heart. I am going to ask for $75 for each

I recently got website going so if you’d liek a preview of what i will offer please go to http://christinagurnham.com/

This is one of my many items I’ll be offering at the show. Here’s my list of things I finished and will be available:

25 bottle stoppers
90 ornaments
3 sets of kathy wise Nativity scene (12 ornaments in each set so 36 total)
10 hand mirrors
3 photo frames
4 bandsaw boxes made of maple burl (which i will post later, they came out great)

any last minute show advise is appreciated. thanks for your help and wish me luck

I couldn’t get through the way you have it written. Good luck at your show too!

Nice work Chris. I bet you will have a lot of interest in these and your other works, good luck. Were you able to buy the glass for the mirrors already cut to size and shape or did you have to do it? You should post a follow up and let us know how you do at the woodworking show.

Mike,
I’ll be sure to post a follow up to the show. It’ll either be in big bold capital letters or happy lower case letters.

The glass i bought already cut at Michael’s craft stores. Woodcraft had the same thing but they charged 5X the price Michael’s did.

I did use a router to make the hole for the mirror to go into.

Well Miss Gurnie, Nice to see someone from a place I lived for several years before moving to Md then to Fla. I can say I don’t miss the DC traffic! The nice thing about Jacksonville is it is half hour to 45 mins from anywhere to anywhere tops. I wish you luck at the show and hope you sell out!
