Table from walnut and birdseye maple. Bookmatched top, lower shelf and drawer bottoms. The accents are ebony and the drawer bottoms are QSWO.

I usually think that multiple woods on G&G designs makes it too busy. G&G is already chocked full of details. I have to say, I will have to alter my opinion after seeing this – you pulled it off nicely! A very attractive piece – well done!

Really nicely done I like the walnut color you have, it is a fair bit lighter than most of the Walnut I have seen, which is more chocolate brown. Did you do anything special? Bleach it then bring back with oil or dye?

Beautiful craftsmanship … the colors really compliment each other, and the birds-eye maple top is a stunner.

Great table. I particularly like the peg pattern on the legs, and the dovetails.

Looks like you now only need a coffee table and you’ll have a set!

I have often thought about what it would be like to take the route less traveled with a G&G piece, and now you’ve shown me that it can work out nicely.
