My oldest daughter sent us a Christmas want list. She sent links to all of her wants and this was one that caught my wife’s eye. So she tasked me with this project last week. I think the wood is Cypress but do not know for sure. One of my younger brothers is quite the wood expert and that was his guess. It is a very dense and heavy wood but worked very easily. My younger daughter has this machine that cuts plastic so we went to her house yesterday and she cut the lettering and helped apply it. Now off to USPS or UPS for shipping to Fl.

Nice work! So it’s used for holding used wine corks?

Yes that is what it is used for. I do not drink much wine so it would take me several decades to even fill that up half way.

That is really cool. I know a lady that collects corks and I think she might fill it instantly( unless it is a lot bigger!!). I’ll ask her if she would like one.

Thanks for the idea…...........Cheers, Jim

Jim the glass on this box is 1/4” and 12” X 12”. Most of the one’s we looked at Hobby Lobby were in the 10” X 10” size. There were many others but this one was free except for my time. The glass shop gave me the glass and I have had the wood for a couple of years now.
