Used an idea from a woodcarving illustrated magazine on ornaments and carved this pinecone. It was relatively easy and it actually turned out a little better than I thought it would.

its made from pine and I stained it with a gun stock stain and then put two coats of semi-gloss poly on it.

That’s pretty nicely done, as at first sight I thought it was a real pinecone with an unusual shape.
