Five or six years ago I was in a wood working class and we made piggy banks. Some people made a square block and turned it in. I however made a Penguin Bank. Looking back at it, I didnt do a very good job. I didn’t sand it, the wood burning is messy, there are pencil marks all over it, and I didn’t put any finish on it. But it was a fun little project and it sits on my top shelf because I made by myself

Very cool! It’s part of your woodworking journey. Keep it close at hand and look at it often. We all began somewhere and as we improve our skills it’s healthy to remember how far we’ve come. Thanks for letting us share in your woodworking experieince.

That’s awesome that you still have your first project. Not to many people do. I still have mine. I made a key chain rack out of a piece of a 2×4 and painted flowers on it for my mother. It brings back memories.
