This is the most complicated thing I’ve made to date. I had to do the wood over because I didn’t follow directions properly the first time. I also regret trying to stain cherry – which turned out blotchy. But still I’m happy with it. Live and learn.

Not a bad effort by the looks of it.

Don
That is a nice clock
What mechanism does it have?

Hey, it turned out well. My favorite finish for cherry is an oil/poly rubbing finish and plenty of time to age.

You did a very nice job on you clock. If you ever want to stain cherry again, use Charles Neils Pre Color Conditioner. Go to his sight and look at his video. People have done reviews on the product here. Look at my crib and dresser I did and you can see how nice it works.

God Bless

Thanks.

I used Minwax sealer on it but it’s almost as if I used nothing.

The mechanism is quartz from Klockit.

Yes I do learn with everything I make and if I can still come out with something usable in the end then I consider it a success.
