A few years ago I made a wand for my nephew when he was into Harry Potter (see below). Now that my niece is reading the books i figured she is ready for one. This, in addition to a cape my wife made, will be part of her Christmas present. I need to see if my co-worker will engrave this one also.

Is the case routed out? What type of wood is it (same as the first one Maple/Rosewood?)

Thanks. The wand is Rosewood but the case is ash and Rosewood on this one. Oh yeah, The case was routed.
