I build this desk for my son. It is part of his new bedroom set that includes a bed, a night table and a chest of drawers. The legs are 7/4 red oak 33 inches wide. The top is 72×33, 5/4 read oak. The top is attached to the legs by 1/2 inch bolts threaded into 1/2 inch cross dowels. The bold pass through 2 inch diameter aluminum cylinders held by 1/2 inch bolts.

Well good going. That’s pretty sharp. It’s actually quite modern looking.
