We’re coming down the home stretch on this 60” wide x 74” long mahogany, husband and wife, ‘partners’ desk. We won;t be delivering it for another couple weeks, and we’ll wait until we deliver it to assemble it now that all the parts are finished. It’s got a couple of interesting construction challenges, the free floating end panel, electricity in the center, the expansion and contraction of the side panels attached to the ply drawer box, but nothing really complicated. There are more and larger photos as well as a more detailed description of the building process on my dorset csutom furniture blog ... I have also added several other posts on a trestle table and a triple mitered corner parsons table there since I last posted here a couple of weeks ago … Both are interesting projects …

The Trestle Table

All for now …

Nice desk. It’s nice too, to see that someone else uses the same version of sketchup that I do.

Those slabs are INCREDIBLE! I want some! Can’t wait to see the finished desk. :)

My favorite wood and that is a nice slab of it.
