Had a friend show me a picture from Pintrest of a desk and asked if I could replicate one for her office at her husband’s auto shop. I had never made a desk before, so helpful comments or suggestions for future ones are welcome. Tongue and groove boards for the top, squared 2×4s for trim, made my own legs and supports. Nothing fancy but she was very pleased.

Looks great! I was surprised (in a good way) to see the herringbone design for the inside corner. I wouldn’t have thought of it, but will definitely being copying it. I’m curious is you cut grooves in the end of the abutting boards to accept the tongue, or if you removed the tongue to butt them together flat.

I like to design. Nice job.

Sorry, the whole thing loses it’s “craftsman like patinia” when I saw the bare foot in the last pic. LOL!

McaroJCC – I used tongue and groove on the ends of the boards, and to be honest, I regret it. It made things much more difficult, and I had a board underneath for support anyways, so it was just kind of a waste of time.

I thought the same thing! But I’d say yes he’s a craftsman, not a photographer if he couldn’t keep that big bare foot out of pic.

Sorry guys, I wear a size 15 shoe, and I guess I should crop it out haha. I’ll take more care with my photography in the future!
