Not a cigar fan but a beautiful box.

Nice box.
I always seem to be that guy who is in the sniffing range of some unpleasant tobacco smoke. This travel humidor will make it even easier for some guy to travel the world just to find me and light up right under my nose when I am trying to kick back, relax and smell the roses. Boo bad!!

That Maple is pretty wildly figured, but what’s up with the 2 tone look on it?

Cigars seem to be all the rage in some places, and darned near banned in others. Was out in Vegas a few weeks back, and almost all of the Casinos have Cigar rooms now. I saw more humidors out there than I had seen in Ohio in the last 25 years. I smoked Cigs for 42 years, I’ve quit, and a cigarette smoke just plain STINKS now, always thought a cigar smelled better, but probably haven’t smoked 5 in all my years, same with a pipe.

I am not a cigar fan either but have family members that are, it’s a gift. Not being a smoker kinda made it hard for me to have a proper design, had to buy a cigar (that will never get smoked) for the box design. The maple is from an old tree in my yard that had to be taken down due to poor condition, I saved several pieces with unusual figuring, spalting, or curly. I thought this piece looked like it had audio waves in it…

I don’t smoke cigars but I do appreciate great craftsmanship. Excellent work.

Chiming in to say I like the box and cigars. Haha.

What’s the stick?

Great work! We just picked up some Tiger Maple and can’t wait to work with it. Thanks for the idea of book matching for a box
