Here are a couple of pedistals I have made recently. The first one is made from some poplar, that was slightly punky, and the bases were turned from butternut, everything is epoxied together. My Wife wanted a stand for the angel so we could look her in the eye.
The second one was for my Father, he needed a stand for a lamp to go in his barn, it is made from honey locust, and I think it is spectacular.
