Sheet goods storage

Got a new place and need to maximize my storage area in a small garage. It’s pretty straight forward build, 2×8x8 for the bottom, 3/4 ply for the sides. The wall rack is 2×4’s.
The interesting part of the build is the hinge. My floor in the garage is not the most level, so with 4 eye bolts ans a 3’ piece of 3/4 pipe, it has the extra ‘give’ that solid hinges wouldn’t. The casters are from a “Kobalt” tool box my friend mounted in his trailer.
If I had to do it again, I would have used 2×6’s on the wall instead of 2×4’s. More room for scraps.

neat idea! Love the swing away sheet goods cart. Might have to borrow that idea.

I’m with edapp. Very innovative. I’m with you on the “small shop” scenario.

Yes the explanation was needed for the pipe. It is really a good idea and I have never seen it done that way before. I love it. My Shop is too small, so whenever possible I work both inside and on the driveway…

I’m happy wit ha storage unit that’s mobile around my own workshop. Sometimes you need stuff to just move around so you can get more space in there!

I seen the pipe idea on another post, can’t find it now. But the 2 eye bolts and pipe have some “give” if the floor is not level. Works great and after a month there is still nothing I would change. .
