Needed a new audio computer desk in a hurry… ordered a sit-stand base (because I like to stand when playing guitar). Top is 4/4 ash, so-so thicknessed to 3/4” at the yard. brought to true flat with my #5 scrub-ish and #7 planes. Rounded the front corners and belly cutout by hand, but cheated and used a router with 3/8” radius bit for the top edges. Final dimensions are 72”x30.5”. Dyed with Transtint red mahogany mixed with DNA via an Earlex 5500. Partial grain-fill with Aqua Coat… I still wanted it to feel like wood, but the open grain of the ash was a bit much. Finished with GF High-Performance via the Earlex.

-- Red pencil, red marker, marking knife... doesn't mater, the wood will end up the same color.
