Forgot to take pictures during the making of this cross. Made this for my daughter’s church, which is just now being finished “in the hills” in Tennessee. Back and bottom are 3/4” oak. The 6, 3-D portions of the cross were cut from 1/8” oak plywood in descending order of size of approx 1/4” less each. Replaced the blade in the jig saw to cut downward to reduce splintering of the plywood. The back/bottom are screwed together, the smaller crosses are glued together. Took the better part of a week to glue the crosses on, as NW Florida had rain for a whole week and that really delayed the drying of the glue. Finish was 3 thin coats of poly via brush. Approx size was 12” tall, 8” wide at the base. From the back the smaller crosses were 3/4” in depth.
