3D Lidded bowl, the bowl is turned from Myall hardwood 130 mm in diameter x 75 mm high and the lid is made up of three timbers, they are Kahikatea, Kauri and Jarrah. Myall and Jarrah are Australian woods and the others are New Zealand natives. The 3D illusion is that the knob on the lid appears to be floating, can you see it?

Comments welcome.

Nice work Keith.
Not only is the knob floating, it’s hard to tell if the lid is flat or curved.
Great illusion

Nice work. This I understand fully.

Thanks for posting, and congrats on the 3, but I’d rather think the elongated piece would have scored that.

Great project. You succeeded with the illusion perfectly.
Well done!

Congrats on the DT3. Is that your design? It’s very interesting and should get peoples attention. Two projects and two DT3’s you’re on a roll.
