Cut off Scrap from an upcoming coffee table – made a fancy pen holder I suppose, maybe for the desk or office type?. Approx 1/3 sections of heart and sapwood walnut. Was using them to try out my finish on them, which is a simple home mix varnish. About 5 or 6 coats to the cube. Then I decided to tap out a hole and put a small piece of copper tubing in – I rather like copper tubing lately with stuff. And there we have it… the little piece of Scrap has been purposed :)

That is a very interesting idea for scraps indeed! I have always used mine for storage boxes for personal usage or even gifts. I guess it is time to explore new fancy options next!

I like this ! I think theres nothing better than creating something beautiful from something that most people would discard. This would look great in any home or office.
