My wife had seen a project similar to this at an art show. So as most wood working husbands understand, if she sees it, you can build it! Right? This is strips of random leftovers. Cherry,walnut,purple heart, paduk, oak, cypress, and maple. I used a saw, sanders, and drill to make the designs.

I like how you did the designs on each of the pieces – super use of scrap. I’m sure it was selling for a hefty price at an art show – probably saved you a few hundred bucks just by cleaning out the scrap bin – lol – I like it a lot!

This is an excellent way to use up scraps. I really like the piece that has been drilled into. That adds a nice touch of dimension.

The guy at the art show wanted $650 for his. I’ll make them all day If I could get that for them!!

I agree with your sentiments indeed. Having your husband work on your creative ideas is something any wife would kill for! Neat idea for scraps instead of the same old boring storage boxes and such.
