Bread and Oil Boards

Here are some Bread and Oil boards that I produced. Three are made of maple and cherry and the other is maple and walnut. I found the handles at Lowe’s and the small bowls at Target to pull this all together. They are 18” long and 5.5” wide. A small recess was drilled under the bowls to keep them in place.

Many thanks to Ellen (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/39636) for the idea!

Enjoy and your comments are welcome.

Looking good! Are these gifts, or are you selling them? How did you finish them?

Great boards!! I love the design and wood combination. I’ll be making another 6-8 next week as gifts.
Everyone loved them!

Thanks for the great comments everyone!

Jonathan – I’m entering into my first craft show in a couple of weeks so the plan is to sell them. If they don’t sell, they may end up being gifts. The boards are finished with mineral oil.

Ellen – Great to hear that they’ve been well received. And thanks again for the idea!

I have similar boards in 7 stores myself. Small shops love the “local” products.
Great boards, Good Luck!!!
