A co-worker was looking for a Display case for her son’s Toronto Blue Jays Jersey but could not find what she was looking for in a reasonable price range. She asked if I could make one for her and I agreed. I drew it in Sketchup and e-mailed pictures to work for her to approve, well didn’t someone else see the drawings and requested one as well.

The case is plywood painted black with the frame and the shelf being cherry. The back panel is ¼” Baltic birch stained with a natural cherry stain (It actually matched very well) with the front fill with Lexon Plexiglass. It turned out better than I expected with approximately 21 hours into it.

Thanks for looking,

Very nice job. the cherry looks great. I did a similar job for my youngest son last year for Christmas. He has 3 autographed jerseys he wanted cases for. At his request the frames were squared boards painted flat black and both front and backs were glass, removable from the top in case of need for access or replacement. Each was fitted on top with eye hooks and a trim piece added to his walls with pegs for the eye hooks. Personally I like the looks of yours better, but in this case I built exactly what he asked for.
