Corner Cabinet

Used the plans from the August 2010 Woodsmith magazine. Always wanted (needed) to fill a corner in the breakfast nook, and my wife can always put storage to use.

Deviated from the plans by substituting Oak and a natural stain vs. poplar and painted. Also couldn’t find oak in the 3/8” bead board, but could get it in 1/4 (more like 1/8). Compensated by gluing 1/4” birch ply to the oak bead board.

Spectacular!! I really like the bead board backing, I made a corner unit with open shelving on top, but it had a solid back, the bead board definitely adds character.

Great job, Oak stained is always better than poplar painted, at least in my opinion.

Really nice corner cabinet. Well done. I have been meaning to make one out of walnut, i even have the wood but have not decided on the design. I really like yours, i will try to do as good a job as you.
