This is the first time I’ve used hickory to make anything. My suggestion for anyone in the same situation would be to start with a new blade…and prepare to sand a LOT. This box weighs a ton. I like the simplicity and I love the grain of the hickory. I’m glad I still have some left – it can be a bit of a bear to work with, but in the end – it has a very nice feel to it. Thanks for taking a look.

I have to agree that Hickory is very hard and heavy. It slao has beautiful grain. Nice looking box there Maxx.

The green looks nice in the drawers. I also like the figure on the side created by the end-grain.

I wish I could make a bandsaw box like that! (or any other) But, I can’t seem to find anyone who has a bandsaw IN STOCK!

Yours looks GREAT!

Beautiful design. Great choice of how to match the woods, together.

Really nice !

I think I like the simple ones the best. Looks great! I could think of a dozen uses for that box already :)
