Medals Box #3

This is the 3rd medals box I have made of my father’s medals.
This one is for our nephew, my father’s grandson.
It’s made from a silky oak tree cut down in the village where we lived, so there is some significance there.
There is no joinery in the wood. All routered out and shaped from a single block.
The medals were for service in ww11 in the Middle East.
The front lid surface ring was cut using my home made milling machine

The image was made with my CNC type laser burner.
Thanks for looking
