These are two mini Hope chests, one walnut and one cherry. Dimensions are 16” x 12” x 10”. Particularly liked the grain on walnut panels but the curly cherry is nice, too

Finished with teak oil and hand rubbed poly

WOW that Walnut is off the chain, nice use of it too. Please explain further “hand rubbed Poly” Rubbed after drying, or while wet?

It is applied with a cloth instead of a brush, (about 4 coats) ,bought it at a Homedepot but I think it is just a mixture of oil finish and polyurethane. Also as a couple of coats of finishing wax.

Gotcha. Yeah I rub most of my oil finishes on. It is worth the work IMHO. You get out of it what you put into it though, time wise. Sanding by hand I hate, finishing by hand I really like, go figure
