This is my 1st true (played with it a few times last year) turn with Ekki and I think they turned out nice. Ekki has to be the hardest wood I have ever turned…
The finish is just 2 coats of poly with steel-wool between the coats…..

One of woodworking friends here at Lumber Jocks has a blog about it…

Nice candle holders. Where does Ekki wood come from? Does it have inclusions in that will dull a bandsaw?

Some great looking Tealight holders. A beautiful finish. The only thing I made was a pen. So it’s nice to see it with a different finish. Nice job.
