After a very long hiatus from the shop, I have decided to finish some things I started a while ago. This is the Zaffino pattern for the Last Supper. Super hard to cut this one out… learned a lot from doing it. Can’t wait to make a frame for this and get it hanging on the wall.

Gorgeous.

Only scrollers realize how time consuming that is.

about 24 hours in this one. All done with #1 spirals.

Amazing work to be very proud of! I tried a spiral just once without much success. Maybe I should try a #1.

Are all the black lines cuts, or are a lot of them burns? Generally a lot of scroller work isn’t something I care much about. This is spectacular to look at, and if every dark line is a cut then your 24 hours, and mine are in different universes.

Thanks for posting.

It’s all cut. It’s on a backer of black poster board to show the shadowy effect. No burning on this. Probably over 1000 cuts in this pattern. Didn’t bother to count, but I know it was a lot.

I think almost everybody would look at that and run screaming in the other direction!

Very nice. Something I am not embarrassed to say I am not capable of doing.
