Hi folks!

I wanted to pitch in an unusual idea on what to make with that wooden rope (Viza). This 3 min. instructional video is about making a primitive rope from a young fir, birch or a willow tree branch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3MpFoIX5uw

You can experiment with dried out bundles of viza with epoxy resin and luminescent pigments to make sculptural decorations. This glue up can be sliced and used to decorate a table top, for example.
I am sure such a table top decoration can easily become a conversation starter.
You can also try to make a table’s legs from viza or use it as a decor element in your house.
The rope will hold any shape when dried and can even be stabilized with epoxy resin if needed. Perhaps you can make the resin glow from inside of your partially cracked rope. I think any woodworker can come up with some original ideas on how to use VIZA in their furniture making or decoration projects.

Thank you

Max

Very interesting and could make a lamp, chair or something by forming it into a a shape and gluing or epoxy.
