This was my first project ever. Had some help along the way, but very quickly picked up this expensive hobby. Haven’t done a lot of projects yet, as I’ve been doing bathroom remodels, etc, but more is on the way!

I need to take a new picture. My wife would hate me putting this up – the room has changed a bit since this time last year!

You have very nice taste Tig! One thing about woodworking as a hobby, you can always sell your tools for nearly what you paid for them and if you never sell a single thing, they will always be heirlooms for you and your family. I don’t think there is a much more valuable hobby out there. But I am a little bios : ) keep it up; you obviously have a lot of talent a good eye and the ability to create amazing stuff!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I should also point out that there are 4 VERY large drawers underneath. Not very fung shui, but much more practical!

Beautiful work…both the bed and the vanity. I’ve been thinking about making a new vanity and you’ve given me a some new ideas. Thanks! I really like making beds. I recently made a platform bed out of cherry that I wanted to sell but my daughter liked it so I gave it to her. I told her it was called the baby maker…our second grandchild is due in May!

Nice job Tig. We have been renovating our bathroom as well, just finished the major work, now adding the final touches. Not much wood work this end lately either but will fix that shortly.
