I decided to build this cabinet to safe guard my toys. I love building things and one of those few things that I love most, besides carpentry, is model building. So I have to build this not only to act as a safe guard but also to showcase some of my work. BTW, one model kit will take me a minimum of 3 to 6 months to complete

Very nice, both the display and the models!

Thanks…. although I admit that I still need some practice with my woodworking.

Doc,
Very nice work. I can’t see enough detail, but the largest ship seems to have 4 2-gun main turrets and a single stack so I’m guessing a heavy cruiser; Indianopolis maybe? Maybe a Fletcher Class destroyer? As I said, really nice work on all I’ve seen.

Nice display and models. Do you use kits or do you make your own models? We’d love to see closeups of the models in your display.

I only use kits…. but I apply heavy weathering. it is the painting and the way I depict each model that takes so long. Is it alright to post model kits here? If it is, I will post them

Hi Steve. The big one? That is the Bismarck. And the smaller one besides that is the Prinz Eugen…. I decided to build that since my real name is Bismarck. I will be posting it as soon as I can.
Have your say...
