Cedar Plant Stand

A customer wanted a plant stand to grow various potted herbs on an outdoor balcony. I designed this plant stand using Google Sketchup.

The stand utilizes a slat design to keep water from pooling on the surface. I used unfinished cedar purchased at Home Depot for it’s resistance to rotting and insects.

The cedar will age to a gray patina over time which will look great next to the customer’s teak Adirondack chairs.

I sure could use that at my house. Great job.

Very nice design and a nice job in building it. I may have to “borrow” this design for some of my plants.

That’s really nice. I know a few people that would love something like that. Very good to keep plants and pots off the deck.
