As I’ve said many times before, I make whatever my wife wants. In this case, dressing vanities for our two sons’ girlfriends. This one was made and finished similar to one Payton had ‘pinned’ to her Pinterest page.

Made primarily of maple and aspen with quartersawn sycamore for the drawers. Finished with a blue latex enamel, lacquer sealer, burnt umber glaze stain, then top coated with satin lacquer. I was a little pessimistic with the color and especially when first started with the glaze stain, but with wife’s encouragement, kept working with it. In the end, the finish looks antique.

Main carcass dimensions are 18” deep x 48” wide x 13 1/2” tall. The two lift top boxes are 12” x 12” x 3 3/4” tall. Found the mirror on ‘closeout’ at a local store.
